Boat Anchor Injures Two on Lake of the Ozarks

On 06/04/2025 a 20-year-old male out of Santa Rosa, New Mexico and a 19-year-old female out of Tekamah, Nebraska (operator) were injured after attempting to avoid a collision with another vessel at Lake of the Ozarks. According to Missouri Water Patrol the operater put the watercraft in full reverse in attempts to avoid contact with another boat. The anchor became dislodged striking the male subject in the head. Both the driver and the passenger are listed as sustaining serious injuries. They were transported to Lake Regional Hospital via ambulance.
