Two-Vehicle Crash Near Springfield Sends Two to Hospital

On June 10, 2025, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Missouri Route 266, approximately four miles west of Lockwood. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when a 2018 Ford Escort, driven by a 52-year-old woman from Springfield, failed to yield to cross traffic.

The Escort collided with a 2022 Toyota Tacoma, driven by an 84-year-old Springfield man. Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for medical treatment.
